parenting - a lifestyle

Once you become a parent, the whole world changes. One minute you're the center of your own universe, and the next, you're cherishing every second with your tiny baby. As a mom of two, I've learned to appreciate the chaos. My life changed forever when I had my son, and now, at almost 4, he's still teaching me what matters most. Your kids are your world, and time is fleeting. Don't get too caught up in taking the perfect shot; instead, capture the real moments. These imperfect photos are memories you'll treasure forever. So, take a deep breath, and soak it all in. Before you know it, they'll be grown, and you'll be reminiscing about these days.

So often we, as moms, criticize every little thing about our appearance. Things we stress about no one else even notices. My biggest piece of advice to moms who book a photo session, please don’t be so hard on yourself. You birthed humans. Your body should look like it birthed humans. If you didn’t birth your children, you spent countless nights getting little to no sleep. Your body should show signs of motherhood. And that’s the beauty of life! We all age and our body reflects a life well lived. My tummy is no longer flat, my under eyes remain dark and motherly stress has caused grey hairs and wrinkles. But what a joy to have children to stress over. What a blessing to give my all to my children and stay up with them when they are sick or cannot sleep. What a gift to be able to provide safety, comfort and nourishment to my babies. I know it’s easier said than done, but I also remind myself the purpose of photographs. Yes, it’s wonderful to have beautiful images to enjoy at this time, but the true purpose of photographs are to hold a memory. A memory to remind our children when they’re old, or when we are no longer here to tell the story. This is why Lifestyle Photography is so dear to my heart.

Lifestyle family sessions are the perfect investment to capture these memories for your children to hold onto for their lifetime. Whether you choose to capture the fun and chaos of loving at home or embracing joy and laughter at a favorite location, such as the beach, you will receive timeless treasures, artwork to hang in your family home. Treasures your children will look back on when you’re no longer here to hold them. Treasures to walk past when you wake up in the morning and be reminded of why your work raising children matters <3
